Obituary for Valerie Julia Arcoren (Phelps)
Valerie J. Phelps Arcoren (P'okeske Yuzapi Win) was born in Sisseton, SD on May 22, 1956 to Theodore and Marlene (LaBlanc) Phelps. She passed away at Rapid City Regional Hospital on March 15, 2014 at the age of 57 years.
Wakes were held Monday and Tuesday with 10:00 AM funeral following on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Digmann Hall in St. Francis. She was laid to rest beside her husband at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, St. Francis, SD.
Valerie is survived by her 3 sons: Stacy Phelps, Darin Arcoren (Duveen White-Arcoren) and Doug Arcoren, Jr. (Victoria); 2 stepdaughters: Lee Ann Arcoren (Brent Fool Bull) and Nicole Millard (Earl); grandchildren: Trey, Madison, Ethan, Neveah, Michael, Igni, Jacob, Sunshine, Charlize, Jazlea, Kassandra, Darin Jr., Joshua, Nova, Shayna, Nalaina, Dale, Jordan, Julia, Janessa, Clint, Ava'Loni, Samuel, Jamie & Haylee; great grandchildren: Brandon, Jeremiah and Drayden; and her siblings: Peggy, Charlene, Donna, Debbie, Lisa, Deann, Byron, Dusty, Farrel, Ted Jr. and Matthew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Doug Arcoren, Sr.; brother Myron; and 1 great grandchild, Makinley.
