Obituary for Pauline Hattie Black Wolf (Four Horns)

Pauline (Four Horns) Black Wolf was born in Spring Creek, SD on October 4, 1932, to Frank Four Horns, Jr. and Sophie Didier. She married Andrew Black Wolf in February 1950. Together they had eight children: Lawrence, Aubrey, Sylvia, Kent, Art, Geraldine, Theodore & Eunice. She had many grandchildren, great and great- great grandchildren.

Pauline lived most of her life in the Mellette County area. She was known for her sense of humor, always teasing and joking with people. She loved attending church, playing bingo, visiting friends and relatives, sewing and other various arts and crafts. She also enjoyed her weekends out of town.

Pauline’s second home was the White River Healthcare Center where she had many friends, including her roommate, Hazel Marshall. She passed away on December 26, 2017 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was surrounded by family and friends that loved her. She will be greatly missed by many.

Preceding her in death were her sons Larry, Aubrey and Kent and her husband Andrew Black Wolf. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Black Wolf Cemetery at Two Kettle near White River, SD.
