Gordon Gale DeCory, 79, died October 26, 2016 at home in Rosebud, SD.

Gordon was born on June 2, 1937, to Perry DeCory and Isabell (LaPointe) DeCory. He grew up in Rosebud, SD and attended St. Francis Indian Mission. He joined the Air Force in 1957, and was stationed in Florida. He was honorably discharged in 1961.

He moved to Rapid City, SD and then to Ft. Yates, ND on April 27, 1962, when he married Louella Tuske and they were married 54 years.

He began work at Ft. Yates IHS in 1963, transferring to Rosebud IHS in 1989, retiring in 1995.

Gordon is survived by his wife Louella DeCory; children: Karen (Lloyd) Janis, Kevin (Renee) DeCory, Harold (Michelle) DeCory and Cheryl DeCory, Justin (Renee) Thin Elk, Steph (Tony) Night Pipe and Marybeth Walker; sisters: Amy Rogers, Adel DeCory and Alta Smith; and brother Kendall DeCory; 9 grandkids, 15 great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both parents, 3 brothers: Willard, Perry and Ardean DeCory, 2 sisters: Angie (Jordan) DeCory and Cissy Ann (Faith) DeCory, 1 son Gordon DeCory, Jr. and 1 great grandson Waylon Guerue.
