Life Story for Alva Gerry Olsen (Allen)
Alva Gerry Olsen was born to Louis and Jewel Allen in Ashland, Kansas on November 9, 1956. She attended school in New Mexico, Montana and Colorado. She went to high school in Limon, CO. She worked in a café in Miles City for several years.
Alva put her trust in Christ as her Savior at a young age and was a member of the Berean Bible Church.
She passed away at Rapid City Regional Hospital on April 8, 2015. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepmother.
Alva loved to garden and grew many beautiful gardens until her health declined. She also loved her horses and other animals and loved country life. She was active in rodeo when she was younger. She was a Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol for several years as a DDR Officer.
She leaves in her passing her husband Les Olsen of Kilgore; daughter Ana Huber & husband Torey and grandson Zephaniah of Kilgore; 2 sons Mick Olsen & wife Marlene of Larkspur, CO and Zane Allen & wife Jeanette of Gladstone, ND; 3 stepdaughters Lacey Lemmert & husband Corey, Gwen Wenig & children Addessa, Tarren, Kieron, Kaylee, Kadon, Talia, Chason and Tagon and Misty Critchfield & son Arian; stepson Mark Olsen & wife Wanda; father Weston Louis Allen; 2 brothers: Elmer & Raymond Allen; and brother-in-law Byron Olsen & wife Carol.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Berean Bible Church in Valentine with burial at the Kilgore Cemetery.
